Front Page Marketplace can include the following types of advertising: Transactional based messaging, Promotions, Coupon Offers and Loyalty Programs.
Your Text Link or Image Link, Destination URL and Landing Page must conform to the following style requirements:
Text Links and Image/Text Links must not contain:
- Swear words, obscene words or phrases, or other language deemed inappropriate by Yahoo! in its sole discretion.
- A URL or any reference to .com, .net, .org or any other Top Level Domain ("TLD"). The text should never include your entire URL. The text can include part of that URL (including the TLD), if the trademark business' name includes .com or another TLD. For example, the text should not read: "Buy widgets at www.XXX.com" however can read "Buy widgets at XXX.com", only if .com is a part of your trademark business name.
- Words that are improperly combined to consolidate space.
- The Yahoo! name, logo or other Yahoo! brand features or intellectual property.
DESTINATION URLs
Destination URLs must:
- Point to a “.com”, “.org” or “.net” or other United States destination URL and must not point to a Destination URL or Landing Page located outside of the United States.
- Be operational when tested and remain operational at all times during the campaign.
- Be written in English.
- Load within the original browser window (no pop-ups or resized browser windows). The back button on all redirect page(s) must be visible and functional to allow navigation back to Yahoo.com.
LANDING PAGES
Landing Pages must:
- Be operational when tested (and during the entire campaign).
- At all times during the campaign, remain as the original Landing Page submitted for Approval by Yahoo! for Front Page Marketplace. An Advertiser may not switch out or change in any way the Landing Page unless the ad is re-submitted to Yahoo! and re-approved.
- Contain information about the product or service advertised. For example, if the Text Link promotes a product on sale, the particular product or service that is the subject of the sale should be listed on the Landing Page, with the sale price.
- The offer in the creative must be present above the fold on the inital redirect page and must be consistent with the creative messaging.
- Support the “BACK” button function in browser applications (blocking this function is not allowed).
- Not include pop-ups.
- Identify the advertiser.
- Not redirect users to a different URL or website.
- Be written in English.
