A Front Page Event Makegood will be offered for the following:
- The campaign runs without issue and does not reach guaranteed impression levels of 140MM weekday/100MM weekend on the run date. The makegood will be issued for the amount of impressions underdelivered.
- Creative experience is not consistent with what was sent to the client in the preview link (makegood of varying value will be offered based on the extent of the inconsistency).
- Creative is pulled as a result of a Yahoo! technical issue. A makegood will be issued for the amount of time the ad was down from the site and during the same time frame as when it was down.
- Creative is pulled as the result of a catastrophic world event outside the control of Yahoo!
NOTE: Makegood run date and time are dependent on Front Page inventory availability.
A Front Page Event Makegood will NOT be offered for the following:
- Creative is pulled when the client makes last minute changes to the landing page that are inconsistent with approved creative messaging.
- Creative does not launch on time or is pulled as a result of last minute changes to the execution by the client.
- Creative is pulled due to a malfunctioning redirect/3rd party click tag supplied by the client.
- Creative is pulled due to an expired offer on the redirect page.
- Creative is pulled due to client server load issues causing the redirect page to load slowly or not at all.
- Ad tracking (e.g. 1X1 pixel) removed due to client/3rd party server load issues.
- Client submits revised creative, a new redirect url or ad tracking tags after the final submission time and date provided by the Campaign Manager.
- Creative is live on the Yahoo! Front Page when a negative news article about that specific advertiser is being featured. The In The News box on the Yahoo! Front Page is editorially controlled. In determining what news is posted on the homepage, the editorial team considers a wide range of criteria including: newsworthiness, relevance, and interest to our audience. News is a primary driver of front page usage and we believe creating a trusted experience sets the stage for the largest, most captive audience for Yahoo! and our advertisers. These types of situations do not warrant a make good, given Yahoo!'s need to be unbiased with news content.
NOTE: Front Page Campaign Managers are assigned
to ensure both a positive user and advertiser experience.
Campaign Managers will make every effort to contact
the client before pulling creative. In the case
of a broken redirect, if the client does not respond
or the issue is not resolved within 15 minutes of
contact, the Campaign Manager has the authority
to pull the ad down. For all remaining scenarios,
if the client does not respond or the issue is not
resolved with in 1 hour, the Campaign Manager has
the authority to pull the ad down. It is in the
best interest of the client to provide an after
hours contact to the assigned Campaign Manager for
the day of the execution.
All Makegood dates will be granted and approved
by the Front Page Sales Producer and are based on
availability.
If a Makegood is approved, the client must run the
same creative in the same placement with the same
redirect.
- Example: Makegood for a FP Display 350x200 will
be given a FP Display 350x200 makegood placement only.
- If placement for a makegood is not available
within the time constraints of the corresponding
campaign, the decision to run alternative creative
will be made be the Front Page team.
